The Libraries Change Lives campaign is an initiative of State Library Victoria and Public Libraries Victoria Network. The campaign enabled communities to demonstrate the value of libraries through their own stories and the positive contribution to their lives. These stories assist in the advocacy of public libraries seeking increased funding to the sector.
We thank those community members who have contributed to this campaign as well as the thousands of others who have come into our libraries over the years. Those who have borrowed items, attended an event or activity, read a picture book to their child, used a meeting room, booked a public computer, done a jigsaw puzzle, learned about their family history, studied for their degree, or just found a moment of peace and sanctuary in one of our library branches.
In an untold number of ways – small and profound - libraries really do change lives.
