Judith Lucy & Denise Scott
Don't miss these two living legends as they hit GPAC for the first time in their show, Still Here !
Saturday 12 November | 7.30pm | GPAC Theatre
Denise Scott and Judith Lucy know what the whole country is wondering, how did they cope with a global pandemic and the endless lockdowns of the last two years?
Well, it turns out they were in lockdown together dealing with the same big questions as everyone else: how many meals can I eat in one day? Do I have a drinking problem? (Specifically, if I go to the toilet in the middle of the night and on my way back to bed I stop and have a gin and tonic, does that mean my drinking problem has gotten worse? Or does it mean I’m living my best life?) Will I ever wear a bra again? Should I trim my goatee or go the full on beard?
Join Jude and Scotty for what could loosely be called a play – think Waiting for Godot meets Flying High – that is not only full of shameless gags but sees them confronting their greatest fear. Intrigued? Don’t be. Just buy a ticket.
“At last something to shave my face for! Can’t wait to embrace Scotty, some show business and our audience-not literally obviously that would be repulsive for everyone involved.” – Judith Lucy
“Judith has frozen shoulders, can’t use her arms. I have arthritic knees, can’t use my legs. I’m excited to be Jude’s arms. She’s thrilled to be my legs. We’re ecstatic to be back, together as one, on stage loving ourselves and our audiences sick.” – Denise Scott
WINNER – People’s Choice Award, Melbourne Comedy Festival 2017
“It’s prime theatrical stand-up from two living legends.” ★★★★★ The Age, 2022
★★★★★ InDaily, 2022
“Despite the audience’s familiarity with these comedy countesses, it still remains possible to be surprised by the filth they come out with” ★★★★ Chortle, 2022
“Either of these performers is capable of tickling an audience pink; together, you can expect to be red raw.” — The Age

Baker Boy
Don't miss Baker Boy on his first headline tour of regional Victoria!
Following a triumphant slot at the 2021 AFL Grand Final in Perth, Baker Boy had to reschedule his biggest national tour due to pandemic logistics. Eventually hitting the road in April was a "mindblowing" experience. The Yolŋu superstar relishes keeping people on their toes and he’s reveling a nostalgic side with his first single since 2021's acclaimed debut album Gela. The dancer, rapper and singer has reimagined Bernard Fanning's acoustic folk 'Wish You Well' as a feel-good hip-hop anthem alongside the Powderfinger frontman himself.
Five years after he broke out with the empowering 'Cloud 9' and winning the first of successive National Indigenous Music Awards; Baker Boy is a pop culture phenom, amassing over 55m streams globally. In 2021 he received an Order Of Australia (OAM) medal. That October, Baker Boy aired Gela – a chronicle of identity and personal growth – led by the ARIA Gold jam 'Cool As Hell'. A triple j Feature Album, Gela landed at #3 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was included in prestigious 'Best Of The Year' lists (cue: The Guardian Australia, Tone Deaf, NME, Junkee, AU Review, Yamaha, Double J, Beat, Broadsheet) and nominated for the Australian Music Prize. Over summer, the festive 'My Mind', featuring G Flip, became Baker Boy's latest entry in the Hottest 100, while 'Ride', with a soulful Yirrmal, was shortlisted for the APRA Song Of The Year.
Additional accolades included striking covers on NME Australia, The Big Issue, Spectrum (Melb, Syd), features in Rolling Stone Magazine Australia, The Music, Pilerats, radio album features on 3RRR, 4ZZZ and tonnes of support across playlists on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music & Soundcloud.
On sale Monday 11 July, 10am.
COVID Refund Policy: Refunds are not available to ticketholders for any performance date they are unable to attend due to COVID isolation without approval by promoter.

THEM
In a city at war, five young people count down the days before a boat sets sail for a safer place. Who will leave, who will stay, and what will their choices cost them?
Wednesday 7 September | 7.30PM | GPAC Theatre
“Perhaps the most important piece of theatre you will see this year.” 5 STARS, The Music
From multiple-award winning playwright Samah Sabawi comes THEM — a compelling tale of survival, friendship, and the things we are willing to do to protect the ones we love.
THEM tells the story of one young family as they face the decision whether to flee their war-torn city. Omar, Leila and their young child are counting down the days. Their friends enjoy fantasies of escape and the arrival of Omar’s sister brings a real chance to get out – but at what cost?
Developed in consultation with people living in conflict zones and displaced by war, the play was first supported by Melbourne Theatre Company’s Cybec Electric program before enjoying a sell-out extended season at the famed La Mama Theatre.
With unexpected tenderness, laughter, and song, THEM takes audiences into extraordinary circumstances to reveal our shared humanity in the ordinary moments that shape our lives.
“A drama dappled with humanity and humour amid the horrors of war [...] The inextinguishable spirit of laughter, of the music of life in the face of desolation, is crucial to both the play’s poignancy and appeal.” 4 STARS, Sydney Morning Herald.

The Year of Magical Thinking
The details will be different, but it will happen to you.
Thursday 2 June | 7PM | GPAC Theatre
Described by the New York Times as ‘thrilling and engaging – universal, profound… and uplifting’ Joan Didion’s celebrated memoir is brought to life by Green Room Award-winning actor Jillian Murray in a critically-acclaimed solo performance that reunites her with director Laurence Strangio (L’amante Anglaise national tour 2019).
This highly personal account of loss through the lens of hope unpacks a surreal and overwhelming time in Didion’s life as she faces the sudden loss of her husband John, and later her daughter Quintana. Deeply moving, sometimes funny, and ultimately joyful, this is one woman’s story of the journey to find acceptance, and the lessons learnt in letting go.
After a critically-acclaimed sellout premiere season at Melbourne’s FortyFiveDownstairs this is a production that is a must-see for fans of great drama.

“Jillian Murray gives a superb performance - poised, vulnerable, intelligent, and full of the subtlest ironies” Herald Sun
