The right headspace

Ackim Mwamba is a regular at the Morwell Library, sitting at one of the tables at the back with his laptop and study notes. He’s a fourth year civil engineering student at Swinburne University but comes to the library because it’s peaceful and quiet.

“My partner works locally so it’s the perfect place for me to spend my time. I have visited other libraries but there’s something about Morwell that I love. I find my zone here, it puts me in the right headspace to study and when I get bored or need to rest, I just turn around and there is all this wonderful material here,” Ackim says.

“I love reading and I think the history collection is amazing. At home there are many distractions, but here the distractions are all good fuel for my brain. The Morwell Library is beautiful.”
