Latrobe City Council has collaborated with community members to co-design a local Sport, Recreation and Movement Expo.
The Expo will be held on Sunday 2 February 2025 from 10am to 2pm at Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium.
The Expo aims to promote local opportunities for community members to be active and move their body and will consist of stalls, free food and come and try/skill development sessions.
Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dale Harriman encouraged everyone to attend to find out local options to get active.
“Our Sport, Recreation and Movement Expo is back bigger and better this year. After great success in 2023 with young people, we decided to branch out with the Expo this year to demonstrate local ways to get active for all ages,” said the Mayor.
“We have a range of local stallholders ready to share their activities on the day including come and try sessions ranging from gymnastics, all abilities boccia, badminton, all abilities basketball, hockey, soccer and more.
“It should be a wonderful event – so make sure to come along!”
The Sport, Recreation and Movement Expo is supported by VicHealth as part of the VicHealth Local Government Partnership.
