Community groups supported through Community Grant Program

Council received applications across five streams for Round One of the 2024/25 Community Grant Program, which was open from 3 June 2024 to 1 July 2024.

At its September Council meeting, Council endorsed 52 applications, with a total value of $359,500 to be recommended for funding in the following streams: Capital Works Minor, Capital Works Major, Community Wellbeing, Community Events Minor, and Community Events Major.

The Community Grants Program aims to support community initiatives, projects and events that benefit the local region and those that have positive social and economic benefits for the broader community. The program also enables community, volunteer and not-for-profit organisations access to additional funds to support their projects.

Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Darren Howe, said Council is proud to support the community through this Program.

“The Community Grant Program is very important to our community and has resulted in the delivery of some truly outstanding projects over the years,” said the Mayor.

“The dedication and countless volunteer hours that our local community groups dedicate is part of what makes Latrobe City a great place to live. This Grant Program is a great way to recognise and encourage this dedication.”
