Members sought for new Community Engagement Groups

Media Release

Latrobe City Council is now seeking community members to join two new community engagement groups:

  • The Positive Ageing Community Engagement Group and
  • The Disability Access and Inclusion Community Engagement Group.

The Positive Ageing Community Engagement Group

The Positive Ageing Community Engagement Group will enable community stakeholders to provide Council with advice and guidance for the implementation of the Ageing Well Latrobe Action Plan 2022-2026 and associated actions.

Latrobe City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for 15 community members with lived or living experience of the needs and issues of older people. Council welcomes interest from individuals, family members, carers or community members with expertise, interest, or passion in advocating for, or with, older people.

The Disability Access and Inclusion Engagement Group

The Disability Access and Inclusion Community Engagement Group will provide community members the opportunity to give Council guidance for the development of the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2022-2025 and associated actions.

Latrobe City Council is seeking Expression of Interest for 10 community members with lived or living experience of the needs and issues of people with disability. Council welcomes interested from individuals living with a disability, their family members and carers, or community members with expertise and commitment to progressing the interests of people with additional needs.
