Before you buy a beauty and wellbeing business you should:
- Check if the business has current registration
- Request a pre-transfer inspection of the business (allow 7 working days)

Beauty and wellbeing business services include:
- beauty, make-up, eye lash extensions
- spray tanning
- hairdressers
- waxing
- colonic irrigation
- tattooing
- piercing and any other process involving skin penetration
Pre-transfer inspection
A pre-transfer inspection of an existing public health and wellbeing business will ensure the premise complies with the Public Health and Wellbeing Act.
Request a transfer inspection
- In writing via email latrobe@latrobe.vic.gov.au or letter to Health Services, PO BOX 264, Morwell 3840. We recommend that you do this through a solicitor .

This form gives Council permission to provide a copy of the inspection report to the purchaser. Required works noted in the inspection report will include expected time frames for completion. You should negotiate with the current owner to confirm who will be responsible for the works to be completed.
