Public health and wellbeing premises include a number of beauty therapy operations including hairdressing, skin penetration, tattooing, waxing, beauty therapy and nails.
To ensure your public health and wellbeing premises complies with the Public Health and Wellbeing Act, you should discuss your proposal with us. We can provide you with accurate information and help you prepare your application for approval.
Planning and building departments
You should also contact the Planning and Building departments early in the planning process to check which approvals and permits you might need.
Applying for registration
You must complete an submit a Establishment Application form along with floor plans and a schedule of finishes. This form requests the location of the proposed premises, contact details for the applicant, intended activity and details of when the works are scheduled.
Floor plan
You may wish to submit floor plans along with your Establishment Application for a public health and wellbeing premises. Details that you may wish to outline in the plans include:
- the type and location of all proposed fittings and fixtures
- the finishes to all floors, walls and ceilings
