Situated in the centre of Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley, Latrobe City is one of the four Victorian regional cities, the only located in the eastern part of Victoria.
The first Gippslanders, the ancestors of the Gunnai/Kurnai, inhabited the region at least 22,000 years ago. European settlement grew following the discovery of gold in the mid 1800s.
Latrobe Regional Airport is one of Victoria’s premier regional airports which provides regional connectivity, employment, tourism, and emergency services to our community.
