In Latrobe City, Local Laws Officers can use their discretion when it comes to investigating nature strip parking complaints.

Considerations often include:

• Is the nature strip outside of the vehicle owners property
• If the vehicle is causing an obstruction
• If the vehicle is a heavy or large vehicle
• If any damage is being caused to the nature strip
• If the vehicle is registered

The above points are a guide only and do not provide permission to park on the nature strip. Council is not authorised to provide a permit for nature strip parking.

It might just mean you avoid a fine.
