Zummer Fest Set to be a Stellar Show at GPAC

Media Release

Latrobe City is proud to present the Zummer Fest event that will bring together music, art, food and fun this December.

Created by The Collective and the Latrobe City Youth Council, the festival will be held on Saturday 17 December 2022, between 11am – 9pm at Gippsland Performing Arts Centre‘s Outdoor Theatre.

The headline acts include Teenage Dads, Darcy Fox and Timothy Wolf, along with a silent disco and performances from local dance studio Danceworks 114 and activities with local artist PollyannaR and Gratitude Cookies.

An array of food trucks and vendors will be available throughout the day, along with face painting and live shows from Wacky Wombat Entertainment.

Mayor of Latrobe City, Councillor Kellie O’Callaghan said the festival is a great opportunity for young people to enjoy seeing a range of local talent in their own backyard.

“Zummer Fest is free for all ages and abilities to enjoy, and I encourage you to come along with friends or family for a day of entertainment at a fantastic venue,” said the Mayor.

“It is great to see our younger community members so closely involved with organising such a large event.”

“You do not need to purchase a ticket, however it is recommended that you RSVP to the event via the GPAC website,” said the Mayor.

The Collective is a team of young, creative producers aged from 16-25 mentored by the GPAC team. This program is supported by the Victorian Government’s Department of Families, Fairness and Housing’s Engage! 2022-2024 Grants program.
