Latrobe City Council is considering the different options available to help celebrate Christmas in Latrobe City from 2025.
We know there are people passionate about how Latrobe City is decorated during the festive season, so we want to hear what makes it feel like Christmas to the community.
As Latrobe City comprises of four major and seven smaller towns, it may require a significant financial investment from Council to offer Christmas decorations, so we are also seeking to understand community preferences.
Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Darren Howe, encourages community members to complete this survey so Council can ensure the decorations displayed during the Christmas period from 2025 are reflective of the community.
“Council’s Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2022-2025 outlines Council’s efforts to improve pride in our community assets. It is important that how we decorate our municipality during the festive season is considered by our community,” said the Mayor.
“Community feedback will ensure that Christmas is celebrated and commemorated in a way the Latrobe City community would like, and to spread Christmas joy to all who celebrate.”
Submissions for the Latrobe City Christmas decoration survey closes on 5 August 2024. Learn more and have your say here: yoursay.latrobe.vic.gov.au/christmas-decorations-in-latrobe-city
