Latrobe City Council has collaborated with young people to co-design a local Sport and Recreation Expo.
The Expo will be held in the September school holidays, on 27 September from 11am – 4pm at the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium.
The Expo aims to engage young people in physical activity and will consist of stalls, free food, skill development sessions, come and try sessions, competitions and music.
Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Kellie O’Callaghan, said the event will be a great opportunity for young people to engage with local sporting organisations.
“If you are interested in being part of a sport or recreation club and would like to see what clubs are on offer in Latrobe City, then go and check out the Latrobe Sport and Recreation Expo,” said the Mayor.
“There will be a range of events happening on the day including come and try sessions, AFL skill development session, competitions and a roller derby demonstration.
“Whatever experience level you have, the Sport and Recreation Expo will cater for all ages and abilities. Head along with your friends and family for a fun and active day out.”
