Applications Opening Soon for the 2024/25 Community Grant Program – Round 1

Applications for Latrobe City Council’s 2024/25 Community Grant Program – Round 1 will open from Monday 3 June to Monday 1 July 2024.

The Community Grant Program enables Council to make financial contributions to the cost of local projects. These programs are provided to acknowledge and enhance the contribution that individuals and groups make to the Latrobe City community life.

There are five Community Grant streams open for application: Capital Works – Minor, Capital Works – Major, Community Wellbeing, Community Events – Minor and Community Events – Major.

To help community members complete the grant application process, Council is holding free Community Grant Information Sessions in late May and early June. These will focus on the recently updated funding streams, application, funding agreement and acquittal process, and general skills and knowledge required to complete a grant application, including how to align a project to the assessment criteria.

Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Darren Howe, shared that this program is extremely rewarding for both Council and the community to be involved in.

“Over the years Council has made a significant contribution to local projects through the community grants program. Organisations and community groups are allocated funding that is invested in improving local facilities, operations, and events.

“The program establishes a valuable partnership between Council and the community through providing funding that brings projects that build a greater region to life. I encourage you to look at the community grants available as part of the program and attend an information session to find out more,” said the Mayor.
