What is the project?
Latrobe City Council has commenced a review of the Moe Activity Centre Plan and utilisation within the Moe Activity Centre. To date, a large amount of strategic work has been completed for Moe in regard to structure planning, urban rejuvenation projects, car parking projects and activity centre planning. However, a critical review of this work, along with the identification of additional work is now required to provide comprehensive and up-to-date reports to inform the Moe ACP. While some car parking work has been undertaken it is now considered dated and no comprehensive traffic and movement study has been undertaken as a part of any strategic project in the past 15 years.
Council officers have identified five background documents that should be prepared to support any update to the Moe Activity Centre Plan including:
- Planning Context Report;
- Economic Analysis;
- Urban Design and Built Form Plan;
- Traffic, Movement and Carparking Assessment; and
- Social Infrastructure Needs Study
It should be noted that the review is a separate project and does not form part of the Moe Revitalisation Project. For more information on the Moe Revitalisation Project, please go to: Moe Revitalisation Project - Stage 3
