Seed and Feed Fest!

Thursday 29 September: 11am to 4pm

GPAC Forecourt, Kay Street, Traralgon

Celebrate spring’s glorious flowers and food with a host of activities and workshops. Borrow from our free seed library, paint your own pot, eat tasty treats. 

Free, all ages, some bookings required.

Spring Food Storytime

Lots of fun learning about all the delicious foods we can eat and share.

Spring Pot and Paint Workshop

We’re talking about packing pots with soil, painting them with all kinds of colours and popping a seed in to show how very cool mother nature can be.

Dried Blooms Workshop 

Flower arranging workshop for kids aged 7 to 13.

Let your little ones learn a love for plants and flowers with this hands-on workshop with local florists.

Spring Blooms Workshop

Flower arranging workshop for those aged 14+.

Learn how to compose a beautiful spring posy with seasonal flowers, supplied by local florists.

DIY Waste-Free Recipes Workshop

In this jam-packed hour, children and young folk will have the opportunity to:  

  • Build their own custom spiced choc-chip cookie recipe in a jar to take home  
  • Learn about pickles and fermenting 
  • Create their own spiced salt-pickled carrots 
  • Taste kombucha and touch a SCOBY

Special Presentation with Nornie Bero

Nornie Bero’s food is her culture and her identity, beautifully highlighted in her recently written and released book, Mabu Mabu: An Australian Kitchen Cookbook. Her story is as delicious as her passion for native food. Don’t miss a morsel of it.
