
Live music makes a big comeback this summer with a series of outdoor events in Victory Park at the AGL Loy Yang Sound Shell
Latrobe Performing Arts Centre presents ‘Summer Sessions’ a way to welcome you back to after a long time away.
These free family friendly events will feature Gippsland’s finest musicians, many who took to the stage during our popular LPA Online series.
You can expect to see a blend of folk, rock, pop, country and bluegrass in a laid-back setting with some very special guests by popular demand!
Bring a takeaway dinner from one of Traralgon’s many nearby restaurants and eateries, pack a picnic rug and chair, and cap off your weekend with live music in the lush surrounds of Victory Park.
Act 1: Tayla Clavarino
Tayla Clavarino is a Gippsland based artist and a 2019 graduate of the CMAA Academy of Country Music. Winner of the 2020 CCMA Senior Performer of the year, and with performances alongside Kasey Chambers, Carter & Carter to name just a few of her accolades, this vibrant young singer/song writers’ performance of originals will leave you wanting more.

Act 2: Meg Doherty
Meg Doherty released her solo album ‘Catch’ in 2012, and her EP ‘Up In Smoke’ was released in 2017. Armed with an acoustic guitar and her unique vocal stylings is an earthly sounding, authentic and mature singer/song writer with an honest catalogue of life’s tales. Her earnest vocals mix folk with a little bit of country and western.

Act 3: Michael Waugh
Michael Waugh gives a profound new voice to the Australian experience, his insightful storytelling cuts to the heart of everyday life. Its honest, emotionally brave and compelling in its beauty. His first two critically acclaimed albums ‘What We Might Be’ and ‘The Asphalt & The Oval’ drew on his experiences growing up in an East Gippsland dairy farming community.
