Kids Clay and Play is a ceramics class held on the second Saturday of the month at The Palette & Kiln Studio, situated in the bush land of Glengarry North.

During this class little potters learn simple ceramic techniques to create sculptural objects among new friends. The classes include, scavenging for natural objects to incorporate in their design, discovering the kinesthetic qualities of clay and learning through experimentation.

The session finishes off with a little walk in the bush, that safely surrounds the studio and picnic with fresh fruit and a play.

These classes are broadly aimed at ages 6 to12 but we trust that you know your little potter and if they are keen and capable and a bit younger (or older) that's ok too.

All materials and snacks are provided. Parents are welcome to drop of and pick up or get comfy in the studio.

When exploring nature this class can often involve climbing, digging and splashing in rain hail or shine! so please consider this in preparation for the class.

Parents who join in on bush walks should note that the paths get steep and there is some climbing.

This experience can safely be made wheel chair accessible and equally as enjoyable with prior notice provided.

These classes are inclusive and can be creatively adapted to the social and neurodiversity of participants.
