Cr Joanne Campbell

Councillor Joanne Campbell has a history of advocacy in the community and was first elected to Council in 2024. Cr Campbell advocated for the Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre (GRAC) for over two years to all levels of government.

Born in the former Traralgon Hospital, Cr Campbell is deeply rooted in the community, contributing actively as a member of the Traralgon Swimming Club and as the treasurer of the Mid Gippsland Football League. She values the rich diversity of Latrobe City and is committed to working with the community to attract businesses and industries, particularly by making better use of under-utilised land in the region.

Proud of the investment in first class venues and facilities such as GRAC, the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre and Ted Summerton Reserve in Moe, Cr Campbell is passionate about attracting state and national level sporting events to the region and is keen to explore the creation of new and ongoing partnerships with major sporting leagues and associations and their clubs.
