Cr Darren Howe

Councillor Darren Howe has served as a Councillor since October 2016. He was elected Deputy Mayor twice, first in November 2018 and again in November 2020, and became the Mayor in 2023.

Cr Howe has a significant history of community involvement, which commenced with the Apex Club of Traralgon. Over the seven years of his involvement, he held all major portfolios, and served as State President, State Vice President, and a Director on the National Board. 
Looking ahead, Cr Howe will continue to focus on creating jobs and fostering economic development. He is proud of the progress Council has made and is committed to making Latrobe City a great place to live, work, invest and visit.

Cr Howe has served as President and Vice President of the Traralgon Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee for many years, and he remains an active member.
