Councillor Adele Pugsley was first nominated to Council in 2024. Cr Pugsley loves Latrobe City and its location, especially how close we are to the city, the snow, beaches and everything in between. Cr Pugsley certainly has the Newborough community in her best interests, having lived there for over 30 years. Returning to the region following a move to Melbourne, post the privatisation of the old State Electricity Commission (SEC), where she worked as an apprentice Fitter and Turner. For the past 25 years, Cr Pugsley has been a familiar and friendly face, assisting travellers as part of the V/Line team. She is passionate about building on the strengths of the region by advocating for increased employment opportunities and ensuring the community thrives. Guided by her belief in "people before politics," she prioritises openness, transparency, and approachability in all her work. An active member of the community, Cr Pugsley remains closely involved with the 1st Newborough Scout Group, a commitment she began when her sons joined the scouting movement. |
