The Latrobe City Social Inclusion Action Group (SIAG) is driven by community to create fair and long-lasting connections in Latrobe City, leading to improved mental health outcomes. A new grant stream called the SIAG Community Connection Grant is providing grants up to $5000 to new or established projects to improve social connection, inclusion and wellbeing in the community.
Key Selection Criteria
Projects selected for funding will:
- align with Latrobe City Council’s Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan and SIAG priorities.
- respond to local needs within Latrobe City.
- demonstrate community support for the project.
- outline a clear plan and show how desired goals will be achieved.
- maintain sustainability for long term connection.

How to Apply
Our application process has changed! To simplify the process, please submit your expression of interest first. We will contact you and make sure your project meets our criteria. If appropriate, we can then provide the link for you to complete an application.
All applications need to be completed via SmartyGrants.
Acknowledging Council support
When a group or person receives a grant from us, they agree to acknowledge Council’s contribution on materials produced to support their project. This acknowledgement must include the Latrobe City Council master logo on supporting publications, displays or signage.
