The Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod organises an annual performing arts festival covering piano, instrumental, choral/vocal, speech/drama, brass and theatrical dancing. The aim of the Eisteddfod is to give performers the opportunity to gain experience and confidence performing on a real stage in front of an appreciative audience and receiving a critiques from professional adjudicators. While most of the performers are primary and secondary school students, there are sections for individuals and groups of all ages.
Many volunteers are required during the actual eisteddfod held in August/September, and volunteers are required year round to assist with the planning and organising.
