About the project
The Moe Revitalisation Project Stage 2 (MRP2) project will see the re-imagining of the existing car park and old skate park in George Street in Moe, turning it into a vibrant shared youth precinct and community open space.
The design considers the Moe Rail Precinct Revitalisation Project master plan and the considerable input provided by the community of Moe, especially in the design of the Youth Precinct. The detailed design and construction of the Stage 2 project has been guided by a Council Project Reference Group.
Taylor Cullity Lethlean (TCL) have been engaged to finalise the detailed design and constructions drawings for the project. TCL undertook the original concept design for the project in 2012.
Council has now appointed Multipro Civil to complete the construction. Works will commence on Monday 5 December 2022 with fencing of the site and the demolition program.
In the lead up to Christmas, where possible, some site fencing will be removed to increase the availability of car parking whilst works are not being conducted.
Alternative parking at the eastern end of George Street can be found at the site of the old skate park, opposite Woolworths. Also the new 100 space car park opposite TM&H Mitre 10, is anticipated to be completed in mid-December.
