The Latrobe City Defence Alliance was established to showcase the world-class engineering and advanced manufacturing capability of industry in the region, demonstrated through our rich history of industrial excellence. This alliance was created to promote capability, advocate for local business, share knowledge, and identify opportunities and problems with a vision to drive innovation and collaboration, creating a stronger regional economy within the defence sector.

In partnership with local industry, Latrobe City has created this publication to map the capability of each business in the alliance, providing new defence industries with direct access to regional supply chains to assist with the development of new projects and meet local procurement outcomes.

With the support of Federation University and TAFE Gippsland, key stakeholders to the alliance, they are currently working with our businesses on pathways in Engineering, Carbon Technology Research, Mechatronic Engineering, Energy, and Renewables to ensure our workforce is ready for future opportunities within the Defence landscape.
