Spend a morning with playwright Jessica Bellamy learning a select range of techniques essential when writing for theatre

Jessica is an experienced and award-winning playwright who has worked with a variety of companies across Australia, as well as in Singapore and the Philippines. Jess completed a Graduate Diploma in Dramatic Arts (Playwriting) at NIDA in 2010, and a Graduate Certificate in Arts and Community Engagement (VCA) in 2016.
What makes plays different to books, lyrics or poems? How do you create a character or build a world? What does an effective plot structure look like? Most importantly: what makes your writing unique? Dabble in a few creative exercises over this morning workshop and get a deeper understanding of writing for the stage.
