Why did you want to be a youth councillor?
To provide myself and my peers an avenue to communicate youth issues with council.
To gain skills and grow as a young leader.

What issues are you passionate about?

  • Community Involvement
  • Youth Spaces, entertainment areas
  • Safety issues on the streets (aggressive behaviour expressed due to the amount of underage drinking and drug use by youth).

Why did you want to be a youth councillor?

  • A good opportunity
  • To meet people
  • To make a difference in our community
  • I have passion for Youth spaces and recreational areas in the Latrobe City

What issues are you passionate about?

  • Youth binge drinking and smoking
  • Youth Spaces within the community

Why did you want to be a youth councillor?
I wanted to be a part of my community and take the opportunity to experience and learn different things.

What issues are you passionate about?
I am passionate about the youth of our community.  I want to help them have good experiences, health and try and minimise the use of drugs and alcohol in our area.

I wanted to be a youth councillor because I wanted to become more involved in the community.

What issues are you passionate about?
I am passionate about bullying issues, and racism within the community. I am also passionate about providing entertainment options for youth in Latrobe City.

Why did you want to be a youth councillor?
I found out about Youth Council through my school.  It seemed great, a chance for me to meet new people, put my opinion forward about raising issues and a chance to be presented with further opportunities.

What issues are you passionate about?
I am passionate about environmental issues, sporting activities, cultural differences, food security and healthy eating.

Because I wanted to develop my leadership skills and become more involved with problems facing young people and to be able to give our youth a voice.

I wanted to be a youth councillor because I thought it would be an excellent opportunity for me, and it’s a good chance for me to become actively involved in the community and help out.
