Apply to join Youth Council in 2011

Far Left: Youth Councillors at YouthFest 2008 where a "speak-out" wall was used for local young people to express their views on issues in Latrobe City.
The Latrobe City Youth Council is a program that provides an opportunity for local young people to meet regularly and express their views on issues that affect them and their peers. Each year, twelve Youth Council positions are offered to young people aged 16-25 who live in Latrobe City. Youth Councillors are representative of the diverse range of young people that reside in Latrobe City and participants can nominate for one of three leadership roles including Youth Mayor, Deputy Youth Mayor and Secretary.
Meetings of Youth Council in 2011 will take place on a fortnightly basis over a twelve month period and will be held at Latrobe City Headquarters, Commercial Road Morwell on a weekday (day to be determined) from 5-7pm.
Application forms will be posted here in late 2010. Youth Council Program applications usually close at the end of October each calendar year.
