Landfill Fees

Landfill fees may only be charged to an existing account or paid by cheque during the normal operating hours:

Industrial Waste Synthetic mineral fibre is not accepted at the landfill. Contact Gippsland Water Dustson Downs on 1800 066 401.
Note: Landfill not open to the general public. Residents only may deposit domestic asbestos at the Hyland Hwy landfill by prior arrangement with 48 hours notice. Residents must contact Latrobe City Council for specific information. Clean fill may only be deposited by prior arrangement at $30 per tonne. Concrete is not accepted at the Hyland Hwy landfill. Only domestic quantities of concrete are accepted at the tranfser stations. To dispose of waste at the landfill, customers either need an account with Latrobe City Council, or need to pay by cheque.
