Community Arts aims to support emerging and established artist's, and cultural groups across the Latrobe Valley by facilitating networking opportunities, providing professional information resources and encouraging skill development as a means of encouraging a dynamic and evolving arts and cultural life in Latrobe City.
The programs offered through Community Arts provide advice and guidance to artists across a range of professional levels and cultural groups. They encourage a wider use of Latrobe City's facilities and program's by the business, education and health sectors, facilitating activities with other council departments and community groups leading to opportunities in the arts and cultural sector.
Focusing on both professional and community cultural development, Community Arts delivers a range of arts programs and networking opportunities for artists, arts organisations, schools and the community, with project opportunities that include the development of small and large scale community arts outcomes.
By linking diverse sectors of the community, the Community Arts programs offer a range of multi-disciplinary arts projects supported by nationally recognised artists. The inherent flexible nature of the program allows for a continually evolving, diversifying and exciting range of programs.
