Latrobe Regional Gallery's public programs provide a diverse range of accessible and inclusive learning activities for the wider community. This dynamic range of programs include: workshops for all ages, family programs, community events, talks and tours which all encourage engagement with contemporary culture.
Latrobe Regional Gallery is committed to the development of its Public Programs as a means of engaging all ages with exhibitions and successfully assisting them in the development of skills to respond to artworks. We hope that the next time you visit the Gallery you will take full advantage of the Public Programs the Gallery has to offer. Latrobe Regional Gallery and Latrobe Performing Arts are highly successful providers of valid and meaningful arts activities for all ages. In our commitment to providing quality education within the arts we have developed a range of innovative educational programs to meet the personal, professional and academic needs of people across a variety of learning levels.
The education programs developed by Latrobe Regional Gallery and Latrobe Performing Arts have been designed to assist students and teachers in their enjoyment and understanding of the arts. These programs have been designed to be used in conjunction with the exhibitions displayed at Latrobe Regional Gallery and the performances presented at Latrobe Performing Arts. These programs lend themselves to the exploration of many curriculum-relevant themes for pre-primary, primary, secondary, VCE and University.

We welcome anyone wishing to take a self guided tour, however, for your convenience, Latrobe Regional Gallery offers staff guided tours which can include a behind-the-scenes presentation, offering visitors a chance to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of a public gallery. Topics can be varied to suit the interests of the visitors, although emphasis is usually placed upon the gallerys' collection and current exhibitions, and defining what sets the Latrobe Reginal Gallery apart from other galleries.
Latrobe Regional Gallery offers a series of monthly talks that provide insightful discussions from artists, curators, academics and professionals about the current exhibitions on display. The talk programs are open to the general public, but we encourage teachers and students to use the exhibitions and artist floor talks as a means of understanding artists' methods, and the processes involved in exhibiting artworks.
The Gallery Volunteer Program is currently under review. More information will be available shortly.
